THE Jonas Brothers may have broken tween hearts everywhere by breaking up (well, the ones who hadn't defected to One Direction), but it seems there are no Gallagher-like blow-ups involved in their decision to quit.
Rather, brothers Kevin, Joe and Nick reiterated on Good Morning America that they're still a family and are looking forward to "rebuilding as brothers first".
"We're family first and that's always been our main priority and so honesty within what we do as a group was really important," said youngest brother Nick, who admitted he was the one to initiate the split.
"I came to the table with the guys, and shared my heart with them and my feelings. I said, 'Look, I feel like we've had some complications within the group for a long time (and) without addressing them I think this train will fall off the tracks.
"It was a tough conversation," he said. "It was the first time we really had that real conversation."
Alarm bells rang earlier this month when the band cancelled their US tour just two days before their first show.
"There is a deep rift within the band," their publicist Jesse Derris said at the time. "There was a big a disagreement over their music direction."
Joe Jonas, however, was quick to explain that the disagreements were mainly about their music, and weren't necessarily personal.
"It was just individual things that we were just butting heads about, whether it was the way to set up the music video or even just personal opportunities," he said. "At some point we decided it was best to finish this and support each other on our own ventures along the way."
Nick Jonas said he plans to focus on the business side of the entertainment business, while Nick and Joe plan to continue with new acting and music projects.
